Merry Christmas!!

Brad and I celebrated our last Christmas before we become parents last night. We opened presents and watched a movie. He got me a Nikon Coolpix camera, memory card and a wicker clothes hamper that I have been wanting. I got him a Waterpik, Sonicare toothbrush and a pellet gun. It was a special Christmas (and a little emotional) knowing it the last one with just us. Today we got up, made waffles and bacon and went to see Marley and Me. It was the best and worst movie I have ever seen. We were both crying like babies during the last half and most of the way home. I had to share a picture of our sweet Baxter with his duck (his favorite toy). He's all I could think about during the whole movie.

New Kid on the Block

Yesterday, I went with my neighbor Chris to get a new puppy. She is a Maltese/Yorkie mix-aka-a Morkie. She is absolutely precious and so tiny. Here are are some shots of her meeting Baxter and Milo. All pictures were taken with my new Nikon Coolpix that Brad got me for Christmas. :-)

Hiccups

Finley gets hiccups at least once a day now. Its a funny feeling...its just crazy to think that an actual person, capable of hiccuping, is occupying space in my belly. Its so sweet, I can't wait to meet her!

I need to pack our hospital bags just in case. Tomorrow I will be 37 weeks so she could officially come at anytime. I am crossing my fingers that she will be our Christmas present!

35 Weeks

I know I haven't been that good at keeping this updated but Katie reminded me how outdated it was so I figured I would post something. I went to the doctor last Monday and everything was good. As I was leaving the doctor said "ok, maybe we will have a baby by the new year" well that stopped me dead in my tracks because I thought he had reason to make this comment. I asked what he meant and he said "its always hard to tell with the first but I will check you and see what we can do to get the baby here by New Year's". Of course for selfish reasons I want her here but I also want to make sure she comes when she is ready...which I hope is sooner rather than later! :-)

Brad and I finish child birthing classes tomorrow night. Monday I go back to the doctor and then I will start going every week. Finley is getting really big and some of her body parts are starting to stick out of my sides. I have started getting some mild cramping which I think may be Braxton Hicks. Last night I was having a sharp pain shooting up my cervix when I walked. I am not sure what that was but yahoo message board assured me it was normal! :-)

Brad has started leaving in the middle of the night to sleep on the couch. Apparently I am snoring like a wild man...I feel awful but he says he is sleeping fine. :-) The nurse told me this would go away...LOL...I know Brad is crossing his fingers!

Grandma's House

The weekend before last, Brad drove me to Dublin to meet Daddy, Vonda, Connor, Logan, Amy and Scuba at my grandmas. Daddy then drove me up to Atlanta because I had to be there the next week for work. Here are a few pics. I look enormous! :-)

SURPRISE!

Saturday afternoon Brad and I went over to Kathy's house for a cookout with all of his co-workers. We had a low country boil, Brad grilled deer burgers and hot dogs and we had a huge spread of appetizers and desserts. After we ate, Kathy told Brad and I to come outside and look at her Harley. She opened the garage and there everyone stood...it was a surprise baby shower. We were soo shocked!! There was a delicious cake, diapers, a beautiful diaper cake and the car seat and stroller we registered for. We were so excited! It was such a great surprise. Here are some pictures of the diaper cake and the car seat and stroller. Unfortunately, I didn't have my camera at the party so I couldn't take any pictures.

Jekyll Island

Last weekend Brad and I went to Jekyll Island for the day. It was very windy and chilly but an overall great day at the beach. Brad did some surf fishing and caught 2 sharks that were about 3 feet each.

She might be a soccer player...

Earlier today I felt Finley kick so I put my hand on my stomach and could actually feel her from the outside if she kicked hard. I have been feeling her move for awhile but only small flutters. Anyway, just a few minutes ago I was just sitting on the couch and started feeling her moving around. I told Brad and come over in a hurry and put his hands on my stomach. She kicked really hard and he was able to feel her. He felt her hard two more times and another time just barely. I was laughing because he was so excited and she was kicking me so hard. He wanted me to document the moment on here!!

Nursery Pics
